nancy thomasNancy Thomas for Town Clerk
Nancy Thomas-Kiernan has lived in Stuyvesant for over 15 years, after growing up in Rensselaer County. She has worked in state government and the private sector and has owned her own business. Over the years, she has been active in a variety of volunteer organizations, including the American Red Cross, where she served in lower Manhattan after the 9-11 attacks. Presently, she is a Supervisor at the Times Union newspaper part-time on weekends, allowing her many available hours to be at the Town Hall. Nancy believes the Town Clerk should answer to the needs of the people, rather than the agenda of other elected officials, should be easily accessible throughout the week and should provide superior service to all Town residents. Nancy resides on Oak Leaf Drive with her husband, Ed and their youngest son. Nancy is busy these days with attending acting class for their son, 4-H and horseback riding. Nancy believes that the days of 'business as usual' are finished and it's time for new leadership in Stuyvesant.
